Our Parish Center's building process
With the help of Bishop Dan Edwards, we the people of Grace in the Desert broke ground for our Parish Center on November 23, 2008. The dream began in 2006 when a small committee began to work on this project. Every “two weeks,” we anticipated its beginnings and finally, on Good Friday, the earthmovers began trenching, piping and pour cement. This new asset will welcome and enrichment the lives of our parish family, our neighbors and the community. The new space will provide both day to day care for children and elders, school mentoring and tutoring for school-aged children and programs for the elderly and alone in our community. Once the Parish Center is completed, our temporary Parish Office, now in a modular trailer, will move to permanent quarters in the Parish Center, along with our Sunday School, youth groups and bible study and a full-service kitchen for Parish events. Here you will find a series of photos that will be updated as progress is made.
